Fourteen years ago today, Delaine, Mom and I were touring  NYC with the Harmony High School Choir.  It's hard to believe that was so long ago.  Macy was only one and Meredith and Mallory were four!  Oh, how time flies!

Delaine decided it would be fun to take Maw-maw for her 80th birthday.  So, Maw-maw, Delaine, Mom, Lynn, Meredith, Mallory, Macy, Jackson and I are headed to New York City in a little less than a month.  The last time we visited, we went to Lion King, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Statue of Liberty, and so many more places!  Now we will be enjoying many of the same places such as Lion King (except for Mallory and I who are seeing Wicked), Empire State Building, National Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and so much more.

When we last visited, the World Trade Center still stood as the tallest buildings in NYC.  We actually stayed in the Marriott World Trade Center.  This was the 3rd building (I believe) to fall on 9/11.  I remember looking outside my hotel window and thinking if the window would open, I could easily touch the outside of the structure.  We still have a pen and the room key to the hotel.   I also remember standing in the middle of the WTC structures with wind whipping around the buildings.  It was so strong, I felt that I could lean into the wind and it might actually hold me up.  I am thankful mom and I decided to go to the top of the WTC, I just wish we still had the opportunity to do it with everyone. We will be visiting where the twin towers once stood.

Hopefully, Mom, Lynn, Delaine and the girls will begin adding posts as we are planning for this exciting trip.  Please place suggestions of places you want to go see and hopefully we can finalize the itinerary!
